Adrenerge Bronchodilatatoren kann stimulieren das Herz-Kreislauf-beta - 1 und beta - 2-Rezeptoren, was zu unerwünschten Wirkungen wie Tachykardie, Palpitationen, periphere Vasodilatation, Veränderungen des Blutdrucks und EKG-Veränderungen (z.B. Abflachung der T-Welle; Verlängerung des QT-Intervalls, ST-segment-depression). Direkte stimulation des kardialen Geweben vermittelt durch beta - 1-Rezeptoren und damit weniger wahrscheinlich mit beta-2-selektive Wirkstoffe, wie albuterol. Jedoch, beta-2-Selektivität nicht absolut ist und verloren gehen können, mit größeren Dosen. Hohe Dosen dieser Substanzen, die im Zusammenhang mit Niederschlag oder Verschlimmerung der angina pectoris, Myokardischämie und Herzrhythmusstörungen. Therapie mit adrenergen Bronchodilatatoren gegeben werden sollte vorsichtig in Patienten mit Empfindlichkeit gegenüber sympathomimetischen Aminen, Hyperthyreose und/oder die zugrunde liegenden Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen wie koronare Insuffizienz, Herzrhythmusstörungen oder Bluthochdruck.
